Help

Get started with Poppet or find help with everyday logging.

Quick start

Pick the fastest logging tool

Use Food entry for exact details, Photo Scan when you have a meal photo, and Describe Meal when it is easier to speak or type what happened. Photo Scan and Describe Meal are available only in the mobile app.

Keep allergen status current

Mark allergens as monitoring, cleared, or confirmed so suggestions and caregiver notes stay useful.

Share before handoff

The Care Sheet requires a Plus or Premium subscription, or an active trial. Prepare it before handing care over to daycare staff, grandparents, or babysitters. Add emergency contact details, then print or share the PDF.

Using Poppet

Which add option should I use?

Food entry is best when you know the details. Photo Scan drafts foods from a picture. Describe Meal lets you speak or type a quick summary. Photo Scan and Describe Meal are available only in the mobile app. Bottle is for bottle-only logs.

Where do bottles show up?

Bottle logs appear in the Food Log alongside meals and count toward the daily bottle total. You can edit bottle amount, unit, type, and time from the log.

How should I track allergens?

Add an allergen when it is first tried, then set the status to monitoring, cleared, or confirmed. If there is a reaction, use Report Reaction so the history and Care Sheet stay accurate.

What is the Care Sheet for?

The Care Sheet requires a Plus or Premium subscription, or an active trial. It is a quick handoff summary with emergency contact details, typical textures and bottles, favourites, dislikes, allergens, and reaction history. Caregivers receiving a printed sheet or PDF do not need a Poppet account.

Can family members add logs too?

Yes. Premium family members can log meals and bottles for the same child. New entries should refresh for everyone, but refreshing the page is a useful fallback if it has been open for a while.

Can I fix a mistake?

Yes. Open the Food Log, select the entry, and choose edit. You can update food details, ratings, amount eaten, photos, bottle details, and the logged time.

Why do date and time matter?

Poppet uses date and time to group the Food Log, show daily bottle totals, track allergen exposure patterns, and build better caregiver summaries.

Is Poppet medical advice?

No. Poppet helps organize feeding and allergen information, but parents, guardians, paediatricians, and emergency services remain the source of truth for medical decisions.
